Safe Pathways has developed a multi-element therapeutic approach to caring for children and young people in out-of-home care unlike anything seen before in the sector!
Safe Pathways is committed to the provision of evidence based, trauma informed and trauma sensitive therapeutic services to those children and young people it is our privilege to serve.
In 2015 Safe Pathways will roll out a comprehensive training and mentoring agenda coupled with an increased focus on monitoring of services and staff performance.
We are committed to assisting staff to acquire the skills to meet the range of needs of children and young people who enter our care including the needs of children with disabilities.
All of us in the sector are aware of the challenges we face in delivering therapeutic and child centric services. Despite these challenges Safe Pathways is committed to delivering services that help heal past traumas, keep staff safe and prepare young people for the critical transition into adulthood.
This document outlines Safe Pathways therapeutic approach. It has been prepared to guide our individual actions within our organization as we seek to play an important part, in collaboration with other key stakeholders, in healing past traumas of children and young people in our care.
